Duties and Responsibilities
Sand and refinish all hand rails and furniture throughout the entire building, campus, and garden.
Refinish all wood store fronts at all main entrances and exterior doors
Repair all door casing and wood panels throughout the inside of the building.
Responsible for all preventive maintenance and hardware adjustment on guest rooms and building cabinetry.
Responsible for refinish and repair of all guest rooms and building cabinetry.
Responsible for sheet rock repair, texturing, and painting inside/outside the facility
Responsible for troubleshooting and minor repairs thought the entire facility and campus; this will include plumbing, electrical, industrial equipment, pool equipment, and HVAC systems.
Responsible for testing spa and pool chemicals daily
Responsible for tracking daily work orders and managing special projects.
Responsible for cleanliness of the building interior/exterior and grounds
Responsible for all required equipment and tooling needed.
Job Skills/Requirements/Qualifications
Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays.
Must know how to identify different types of wood and finishes.
Must have experience in finish carpentry and construction background.
Must know how to read blueprints.
Must acquire a pool/spa Certification operators’ certificate within one year of hire
Must have knowledge on sheet rock repairs texturing and painting
Must have mathematical skills and know how to read a tape measure.
An enthusiastic, positive demeanor and desire to provide exceptional guest service is essential.
Working conditions/ Physical requirements
Must be flexible to work all shifts including weekends and holidays
Have the ability to interact with team members, vendors, and guests in a professional and courteous manner despite occasional periods of stress.
Have the ability to use departmental work-order system.
Indoor/outdoor environment subject to changing conditions and temperatures exceeding 80 degrees at times.
Regular exposures to fumes, dust, odors, heights, and loud noises.
Must have a valid, unrestricted Oregon Driver’s License for occasional driving of a company vehicle to conduct work.
May work in direct contact with guests, staff, and executives on a variety of tasks.
May work and climb on ladders at varying heights.
Verbal, auditory, and written capabilities to effectively communicate in an articulate manner.
Clarity of vision at varying distances to perform various work assignments.
Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a variety of specialized tools and equipment.
Reaching overhead, above the shoulders, and horizontally.
Occasional bending, kneeling, and/or crouching.
Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling object(s) weighing up to 75 pounds.
Working with tools and powered machinery.
Must pass pre-employment background investigation
