Position Description
TOP 5 ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF A WB PIPEFITTER:
Reading, analyzing and building piping systems from construction or fabrication drawings Understanding fitting take-off, make-up and set-back in order to hit correct overall dimensions Cut and prepare piping and/or structural materials for welding Performs proper fit-up of multi-axis piping spools to ensure tolerances are maintained after welding Perform system layout and generate legible isometric drawings

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years of experience in pipefitting or equivalent/similar trade Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Basic level communication (Reading, writing & comprehending technical documents, safety regulations, responding to questions from managers / coworkers, checklists, etc.) Safety awareness (Ability to recognize and correct safety hazards) Analyzing & interpreting construction documents & other technical documents Basic level mathematics (Order of operations using fractions and decimals) Entry level planning / organizing (Ability to plan a daily work schedule and communicate the daily objectives to coworkers while organizing tasks by priority to meet deadlines) Working Conditions
Exposure to moderate and high noise levels Exposure to working above ground level where the possibility of falling exists (i.e., on ladders, rooftops, bucket trucks, scaffolding, etc.) Heavy physical activity performing strenuous work activities. Kneeling, bending, crawling, climbing and balancing. Extended durations of walking and standing on varying surfaces. Reaching with arms, grabbing / handling items and using fingers to perceive the attributes of objects and materials. Wearing personal protective equipment Working 40-60 hours per week Working indoors in a non-conditioned space Working outdoors exposed to temperature & weather conditions. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Driver's License - Preferred OSHA 10-Hour Certification - Required; training provided by Wayne Brothers Aerial lift and forklift certification - Required; training provided by Wayne Brothers Physical Demands
Must be able to stand and/or be on their feet 10 hours a day Must be able to lift 50 lbs. as needed Must be able to go up/down steps, ladders, and other lifts as needed Must be able to work indoors and outdoors where different weather settings and unregulated temperatures exist
