We are currently looking for a Full Time Lead Cashier to join our Okchamalis Unit 1 team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center.

Summary:

Oversees the training, mentoring and coaching of the cashier position. All cashiers are responsible for courteous and professional delivery of food and food products under high sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities: * Oversees, trains, and mentor's cashiers' team * Responds to inquiries, compliments and/or complaints regarding the organization's services * Ensures inventory, stocks and informs of any procurement or equipment needs * Oversees the tidiness and overall presentation of the Okchamali's Café * Conducts courteous and professional delivery of food service to health system patients, guests, and employees ensuring demonstration of the utmost respect and accommodation * Prepares serving area prior to serving time * Obtains the appropriate type and size of serving utensils in serving area prior to serving time * Stocks food and dinnerware * Prior to serving, checks the food temperature. Disposes of all spoiled food according to the established procedures * Cleans and sanitizes work area, preparation tables, utensils, and trays after each use according to the established cleaning and sanitizing procedures * Follows approved safety and fire regulations at all times * Maintains a clean and professional appearance and follows program dress code and grooming policies * Handles the exchange of funds associated with purchases * Documents variances or voids according to department procedures * Balances till at the end of shift * Reports any variances to supervisor * Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types - Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner - Greets and engages with a smile - Determines needs, seeks positive experience and outcomes * Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities * Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types - Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment - Maintains and promotes professionalism - Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics - Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards * Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc. * Performs all other duties as assigned

Skills: Essential: * Quickly and accurately count back customer's change

Experience: Essential: * 1 year directly related experience

Education: Essential: * High School, GED or Equivalent

Credentials: Essential: * Pass general background check

Nonessential: * ServSafe Manager Certification

Nonessential: * Current ServSafe Manager Certification or obtain within 12 months of employment.
