Maintenance Painter - Full Time, Days (Hollywood)

Job DescriptionThe Painter applies coats of paint, varnish, enamels or lacquer to decorate and protect interior and exterior surface, trimmings and fixtures of the hospital.ResponsibilitiesFills cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster or other fillers and then scrapes, sandpapers, primes area prior to painting. Cleans walls to ensure proper adherence. Reports any issues to appropriate plant operations contact.Tapes off areas as needed, follows proper procedures to remove fixtures, and covers surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection. Maintains a safe and clean work area while painting. Cleans all equipment used during project appropriately and in a timely manner.Applies paint, varnish, stains, enamels or lacquer to decorate and protect interior and exteriors surfaces, trimmings and fixtures of the hospital. Applies second coats and touch ups as required.Takes conscious ownership for work and takes a proactive, deliberate, and thoughtful approach regarding work activities. Demonstrates appropriate use of independent judgement and decision making. Demonstrates excellent customer service at all times.
