Industrial Manufacturer Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented & proactive senior accountant to support our clients core accounting functions, along with focus on cost analysis and inventory accounting. This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost production analysis, and maintaining compliance across a $750M+ industrial manufacturer. . Key Responsibilities: Perform monthly close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting Analyze and report on manufacturing and inventory variances, including standard cost updates and margin analysis Partner with operations and supply chain teams to monitor inventory levels, valuation, and obsolescence Support physical inventory counts and cycle count processes; reconcile discrepancies Assist in budgeting and forecasting related to COGS, inventory, and production costs Maintain compliance with internal controls and support audit requests Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements related to cost and inventory accounting Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting principles, and inventory valuation methods Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
