Job purpose:
Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, this person will be responsible for a variety of tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure and executing plans for electrical wires and other electronic systems.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities: Understand and apply blueprints and technical diagrams. Working with electrical engineers to ensure correct wiring instructions at the highest possible quality are followed per schematics during system assembly. Wire high and low voltage systems controls. Fabricating lengths of conduit, gutters, and sealtite etc. to protect system wiring solution(s). Selecting the correct size and wire type for wiring systems. Performing system controls checkout. Work with high voltage 120V, 240V, 380V, 480V, 575V Inspect electrical components including transformers and circuit breakers Set up and test computer systems by running cables and connecting computer jacks and plugs Use testing devices to identify and report electrical problems Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units Working with Safety as a core value - Arc flash, LOTO, etc Create records of materials used. Adhere to local and state building regulations. Completing Daily 5s tasks. Miscellaneous task delegated by supervisor Qualifications:
Diploma in relevant vocational training or completed apprenticeship as an electrician Proven experience as an electrician - 4 + years Demonstrate ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter, etc.) Valid MN Journeyman Electrician License
