Corporate Aviation Of Counsel

to join its Business and Transactions practice group. This position is ideal for a senior-level attorney with more than 10 years of experience handling complex aircraft transactions for corporate clients, commercial airlines, and high-net-worth individuals. The ideal candidate will be adept at independently advising clients on regulatory, tax, financing, and operational issues related to corporate and personal aircraft. Location: Duties: Act as lead counsel on a variety of corporate aviation transactions, including acquisitions, sales, leases, and financings Advise on FAA regulatory compliance and aircraft registration matters Structure ownership and operations to comply with federal, state, and local tax regulations Counsel clients on aircraft maintenance agreements, completions, and customizations Represent a global client base including: High-net-worth individuals Leasing companies and financial institutions Manufacturers and aviation service providers Draft, negotiate, and review all relevant transaction documentation Manage client matters independently and contribute to long-term relationship development Requirements: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in aviation law, specifically in corporate aircraft transactions Demonstrated ability to manage high-value transactions and advise clients without supervision Substantial knowledge of FAA regulatory frameworks and tax considerations Experience with both general aviation and large commercial aircraft (e.g., Boeing 747-800, Boeing 787 VIP) Active bar license in the jurisdiction corresponding to the chosen office location Portable book of business or existing client relationships is a plus Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school Certifications: Active bar membership in good standing in the relevant U.S. state Skills: Expertise in aviation transactional law and regulatory compliance Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills Client advisory experience in aviation tax, ownership structure, and finance Ability to handle complex, multi-jurisdictional deals Clear, professional verbal and written communication Business development aptitude and entrepreneurial mindset Bonus opportunities, including incentives tied to business development Full benefits package including: Medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage Life and disability insurance (short and long term) 401(k) retirement savings plan Health and dependent care flexible spending accounts Health savings account (HSA) Firm-subsidized emergency child and elder care services Paid family and medical leave Employee assistance program (EAP) Company info BCG Attorney Search 1629 K ST NW, Suite 300 Washington District of Columbia United States 20006 Phone :
