ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Heavy Equipment Loader Operator, you will play a vital role in our operations by effectively operating a rubber-tired tractor-type vehicle with a hydraulically powered bucket or scoop. You will be responsible for lifting and transporting bulk materials efficiently to and from storage or processing areas.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Operate the loader by starting the engine, shifting gears, using pedals, and steering to navigate effectively. Utilize levers to lower and tilt the bucket, drive forward to engage with bulk materials, and raise the bucket once filled for transport to work sites.
Follow assignments as directed by supervisors while adhering to standard procedures for safety and efficiency. Your work will be regularly inspected for safety compliance and operational effectiveness. Perform routine maintenance on the loader, including lubrication, fueling, and cleaning.
Maintain clear communication with supervisors and clients to ensure all needs and expectations are met.
Commit to health, safety, and environmental policies to promote a strong safety culture. Exhibit safe practices in all work environments and activities.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree. Required Work Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of applicable experience in similar roles. Additional Requirements: Candidates must rigorously adhere to all safety protocols and the proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators. Those required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven to ensure a proper seal during fit tests.
