The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research on property, capital, and macroeconomic markets, specifically within the realms of multifamily rentals, student housing, and manufactured homes. This role is pivotal in supporting the identification and execution of real estate investment strategies, and the VP will be expected to stay abreast of trends that impact residential property markets and the economy. Collaboration with various teams, including asset management, investment, and portfolio management, is essential, as is the ability to contribute to the creation of research communications and white papers. Candidates for this role at the company should hold at least an undergraduate degree, with a preference for a specialization in real estate, economics, urban planning, or geography. A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in the real estate or institutional investment industry, particularly in a research and strategy capacity within the living sector, is required. The role demands a high level of analytical, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is a must, with advanced knowledge of data, analytics, and AI tools being a significant advantage.
