General Description of the Position The primary responsibilities of this position are to handle all pre and post award personnel compliance matters. The successful candidate will work directly with the Principal Investigator (PI) to: Structure personnel needs when developing proposal budgets Assist with post-award management of hiring Processing separation of duties for employees leaving the university (including students)
This position will also be responsible for time and effort reporting as it relates to final compensation reports from payroll and act as liaison to the DSU Office of Human Resources.
Essential Functions & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities The individual in this job must possess these skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation using some other combination of skills and abilities: Knowledge of OMB 2 CFR 200, A-133 single audit and Federal Acquisition Regulation. Knowledge of Federal and State Department of Labor laws Knowledge of state and federal agency compensation regulations Demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively with the highest degree of accuracy, while working in an environment of fluctuating priorities and frequent interruptions Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully working collaboratively with administrators and representatives of external organizations including federal and non-federal agencies Prior experience with and the ability to use computer technology to create and access data, maintain records, and generate reports
Qualification Standards Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Personnel Management or equivalent grant management/business related experience EEO Statement
