Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
to join a fast-paced Agile team at a leading regulated
medical device company . This is a
100% onsite role based in Sylmar, CA
candidates must live within
one hour of the worksite
due to daily onsite requirements. In this role, youll collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA leadership to drive end-to-end testing for applications that support clinical trials globally. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in test automation using
C#
,
Selenium
, or
Playwright
, but is also comfortable contributing to
manual testing efforts
using tools like
Postman
,
JMeter
, and
SQL queries . You must also be able (or willing) to write test cases aligned with regulatory standards. ** About the Environment:** Youll be embedded in an
Agile Scrum team
developing and supporting internal and external web-based applications using modern tools and frameworks, including: .NET (legacy and .NET Core) Angular Oracle PL/SQL Kubernetes Azure DevOps (on-prem) ** Key Responsibilities:** Develop and maintain automated UI and integration tests using
Playwright (C#)
and other .NET-based testing frameworks (e.g., xUnit, NUnit) Perform
manual and exploratory testing
for Angular/.NET applications Attend Scrum ceremonies and help define testable acceptance criteria Collaborate with developers to build scalable test solutions from early stages of development Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines via
Azure DevOps Maintain and expand a shared automation framework Write and execute
SQL queries
to validate backend data (Oracle PL/SQL preferred) File clear, detailed defect reports and assist with triage Ensure all testing practices comply with regulated environment standards Contribute to test data setup and manage test documentation ** Required Qualifications:** 24 years
of experience as an SDET or QA Automation Engineer Proficiency in
C#
and solid understanding of
object-oriented principles Experience testing
Angular
front-end applications and back-end APIs Hands-on experience with automation tools like
Playwright
,
Selenium
, or
Cypress Familiarity with
Azure DevOps
and CI/CD environments Comfortable writing and executing
SQL queries
; experience with Oracle PL/SQL is a plus Strong analytical and debugging skills Previous participation in
Agile/Scrum
environments Must reside within
