Job Description: General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking numerous candidates to fill
multiple-level Appian Developer
roles on a new contract to support the
Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
and their critical mission needs. The FDA is responsible for protecting public health by ensuring the safety, efficacy, and security of drugs, biological products, medical devices, food, cosmetics, and radiation-emitting products. It also promotes public health by accelerating medical and food innovations and providing science-based information for safe and effective use. As an Appian Developer, you will be involved in all phases of the development lifecycle, participating in design sessions and architecture development. This team values in-person collaboration and offers a hybrid work location, where you're onsite in the Gaithersburg, MD office 2-3 times a week. For those outside a 50-mile radius, remote work is an option. HOW AN APPIAN DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Design and develop automated software delivery pipelines. Collaborate within agile teams, participate in ceremonies, and develop technical documentation. Eliminate roadblocks and assist in documenting cloud and DevOps best practices. Perform thorough testing and ensure QA procedures are followed. Develop custom Appian solutions, integrate with other systems, and maintain documentation. Stay updated on Appian features to improve application performance.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Bachelor's Degree in a related field. 5+ years of Appian development experience, preferably in BPM. Appian Level 1 or 2 Certification. Experience with Agile, Java, APIs, Web Services, and integrations. Proficiency with Appian BPM and SQL databases. Experience managing project backlogs and ensuring timely delivery. Ability to scope and plan Appian projects.
