Your role is vital to our success. Every position impacts our patients' lives, and as a Patient Care Technician in the Progressive Care unit, you will provide essential support and compassionate care. Your hands-on assistance will bring comfort, dignity, and connection to those who need it most.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting patients with preparation, mobility, and comfort, ensuring a smooth experience during procedures and recovery.
Delivering non-medical care such as dressing changes and skin protection.
Maintaining cleanliness and organization in patient areas and common spaces to promote safety and efficiency.
Managing supplies and equipment, adhering to infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
Communicating effectively and kindly with patients, their families, and the healthcare team while promoting safety and quality care.
What qualifications you will need:
CNA certification through the Board of Health Professions in Virginia is preferred; or completion of a Fundamentals of Nursing course from an accredited nursing school.
Preferred prior experience in acute patient care within a healthcare facility.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
