in New Orleans. The position is open to candidates pursuing either a
Partnership Track
or a
Reduced-Hour Staff Attorney
role. Ideal candidates will have at least three years of litigation experience, with a strong preference for prior exposure to offshore maritime matters. This is an opportunity to work on complex litigation involving marine and energy-related legal issues in a collaborative, client-focused environment. Location: New Orleans, LA Duties: Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents Provide counsel to clients on maritime, offshore energy, and related environmental issues Advise on matters involving marine insurance, shipping regulations, and compliance Serve as the primary point of contact for client communication and case updates Build and maintain client and referral relationships through proactive engagement Requirements: Minimum 3 years of litigation experience Prior experience in offshore energy or maritime law highly preferred Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active member in good standing with the
Louisiana State Bar Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Demonstrated commitment to client service and professional excellence Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.)
