DESCRIPTION: The Data Scientist may be responsible for the following tasks: analyzing data collected from our products and services, developing statistical and machine learning models using state-of-the-art AI technologies, visualizing insights for business actions, and collaborating with software developers to implement these into our products. The role requires applying data analysis, models, and software to enhance our markets and better serve customers. The Data Scientist should have good communication and organization skills, along with knowledge of daily operations within their department and the company. Assume other duties as assigned. Now offering a 4.5-day workweek! QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field Proficiency in Python or R and relevant libraries/packages Ability to understand products and customers in the Auction and Heavy Equipment industries Knowledge of data models, database design, data mining, and segmentation techniques Understanding of Machine Learning and AI frameworks Experience with statistical analysis of large datasets using statistical packages Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy Experience with SQL, stored procedures, or APIs (preferred) Knowledge of Data Ops and Management tools like Docker, Jenkins, Spark Ability to generate reports and present findings clearly Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work independently and in a team Results-oriented, flexible, and adaptable to change Stable work history and professional demeanor Valid driver’s license and ability to travel by air and ground Ability to work in-office daily; commute required Note: The job description also mentions other positions such as Software Developer roles, which are unrelated to the Data Scientist role.
