The candidate will provide 24 x 7 project support for the client, supporting infrastructure by performing administrative functions of Linux/RedHat (hardware and software), including vendor-supported tools, IBM standard tools, and maintaining servers according to security settings agreed upon with the customer. The individual must possess in-depth knowledge of multiple OEM hardware and OS versions, be able to resolve complex issues, and have experience in data center relocations. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required, along with the ability to work independently and in a team, respond/support critical situations (Crit Sit), and adapt quickly to processes and procedures. Skills Required: High hands-on experience with Linux RedHat OS. Primary UNIX skills on Linux/RedHat/Solaris/AIX platforms; preference for candidates with skills across multiple OS platforms. Hands-on experience with hardware configurations and device support, including knowledge of EOL hardware and HCM. Experience with kickstart server or local repository configuration and installation for server mass rollout. Good routine Linux/RedHat/Solaris/AIX system administration experience. Clustering skills with RedHat/Veritas Clustering. Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as OVM, XEN, KVM, or VMWare is preferred. Knowledge of security analysis, FDA requirements is a plus. Experience with volume/storage/file system management: LVM, ext3, HBA config, SAN, RAID, multi-pathing. Network management skills: NIC config, link aggregation, routing, VLAN. Knowledge of Solaris, AIX, or HPUX; multi-platform skills preferred. Scripting ability to automate processes. Experience with patching and package management to keep servers up-to-date.
