Director, Digital Marketing
reports to the VP, Global Marketing and is a critical member of the U.S. organization supporting Dompé’s breakthrough therapy, Oxervate, the first and only ophthalmic biologic product for patients with neurotrophic keratitis (NK).
Oxervate’s primary customers are eye care providers (ECPs) who manage and treat NK, including Optometrists (ODs), General Ophthalmologists (GOs), and Cornea Specialists (CS).
The
Director, Digital Marketing
will develop and execute the digital brand strategy for Oxervate in the US, including branded and disease-state marketing resources and tactics for ECPs and patients, with a goal of growing the prescriber base and patient reach and increasing overall NK disease awareness. The role requires collaboration with agency partners, media planners, and internal stakeholders to create a comprehensive digital marketing resource and campaign set to raise NK awareness and educate stakeholders about Oxervate.
Required experience includes developing and executing successful digital marketing campaigns and resources; strong social media marketing skills; ability to work cross-functionally; self-motivated with a passion to raise NK and Oxervate awareness using current digital marketing strategies; and a commitment to evolving the brand’s value proposition to fuel sales growth and the company’s development and mission to bring innovative therapies to patients.
Preference for a Bay Area or Orange County, CA based candidate, but remote work may be possible for the right individual.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive multi-channel (SEO, SEM, social media, email, website, and content) digital marketing plan that aligns with brand goals.
Guide the creation of engaging, informative digital content that resonates with ECPs and patients.
Manage the digital marketing budget, allocating resources effectively to maximize ROI and achieve strategic goals.
Work cross-functionally with PRC (medical, legal, regulatory, and compliance) partners to create impactful and compliant materials that support the brand’s strategy.
Partner with the insights and analytics team to measure effectiveness of digital campaigns and initiatives. Use data and insights to refine strategy and meet KPIs.
Collaborate with Director, HCP Marketing and Associate Director, Patient & Access Marketing to ensure consistent cross-channel strategy and messaging for ECPs and patients.
Participate actively in the annual brand planning process and assist with the development of the final plan.
Evaluate and assess new, innovative digital tactics, build a business case for funding and execution, and measure ROI.
Support the Patient Access team with digital resources that assist ECPs’ office staff and patient pull-through.
Collaborate cross-functionally across marketing, sales, market access, and PRC to meet customer needs and identify opportunities to improve the customer experience.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree; MBA or master’s level degree is a plus.
Minimum 10 years of experience in omni-channel digital marketing roles with a proven track record of success (health care experience a plus but not required).
Experience managing external vendors including agencies of record (AORs).
Experience planning and executing a multi-faceted digital marketing campaign.
Strong analytical skills and experience measuring the success of digital programs.
A proven track record of self-driven, results-oriented work history.
Experience collaborating with market research to gain customer insights that drive the business.
Self-starter who can take action with appropriate planning.
Understanding of pharmaceutical legal and regulatory requirements and the material approval process is a plus but not required.
Experience with cross-functional review committees.
Skills You’ll Need for Success: Technical
Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media platforms, email marketing software).
Experience in project management including planning, execution, and budgeting for marketing campaigns.
Ability to analyze campaign performance using KPIs (open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, ROI).
Awareness of AI-driven marketing tools and programmatic advertising.
Experience partnering with agencies to create impactful digital branded campaigns.
Metrics-driven mindset with experience analyzing user behavior and marketing activities to improve customer experience.
Understanding of methods for creating insights into target audiences’ behaviors and needs.

Base Salary: $200,000 - $235,000 per year
