Have you got the right qualifications and skills for this job Find out below, and hit apply to be considered. Reports to: Director of Publishing. Double Fine strives to be an inclusive company. We believe that a diverse team leads to the best games. About the Role We are seeking an experienced full-time Senior Community Manager to join the team at Double Fine. As the main point of contact for Double Fine fans, you will be our eyes and ears, our mouth… and… nose? OK, maybe just those first ones, but certainly a face, full of useful features. You will play a pivotal role as a key outward-facing member of our studio, responsible for bringing in and welcoming new fans to our spaces, while maintaining relationships with long-term community members from our 25 years of history. You will design and build new community programs — using your knowledge about the world of content creators and streamers to design a robust outreach program, and your experience with game development to create insider testing programs, and run playtests online, or in-person. You will use your passion for online multiplayer games to drive player engagement with our fans across spaces owned and external, such as Discord and Twitch. You will be an active part of our highly collaborative team, regularly working with our content creation, social, and support teams, along with Producers, Game Leads, and Studio Leadership. We encourage a yes, and approach to game development, our people, and everything in between. Apply if you want to be part of this highly creative, bold, small, empathetic, and fun team. We want to meet you! What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like This role involves approximately 75% collaboration and 25% independent work during a typical work week. Your day-to-day tasks are changeable, depending on the studio's release cycle and whatever the calendar may bring — such as industry or seasonal events, game anniversaries, and so on. At a high level, you will be in regular communication with and collaborate most closely with our small but experienced publishing team, working together to support one another's efforts, such as promoting our games and video content, engaging with our communities, and interacting with the wider gaming world. You will also work directly with game teams as the conduit between them and our players, relaying information back and forth and translating or summarizing as necessary. Though your initial focus will be on our new or forthcoming games, ultimately, you will work across all of our games, keeping their unique needs and fans in mind. Day-to-day, you will always have many tasks to manage, some constants that need to be checked in on regularly, and some that are changeable week to week. You will need to be proactive about tasks we know about in advance, but also reactive to things that may emerge from the community or world at large. A cross section of regular activities will involve: being present on Discord and other relevant social media channels, checking in with fans on owned and non-owned channels, devising and running contests or play tests, compiling reports from data and perceived anecdotal sentiment, appearing in regular video updates, communicating with content creators, attending meetings on zoom and in-person, traveling to attend shows such as PAX, speaking with various people at Xbox Game Studios, and keeping the team abreast of the community's needs and wants. Possibly all of the above in one day. Our open studio culture, cross-project nature, and holistic aspects of the role will require you to communicate comfortably across all teams at the studio when necessary. As a leading voice for Double Fine, we will rely on you to reflect our company values of creativity, inclusivity, diversity, and mutual respect. Key Responsibilities
