The Territory Manager – Classic Division performs direct sales and customer service activities while providing education to retailers and consumers on products.

Responsibilities

Consistently meet and exceed sales goals, including new placements, case volume, and revenue targets within your assigned territory.

Play a key role in achieving internal company and supplier objectives as prioritized by management.

Conduct engaging wine education and training sessions for accounts and their staff through tastings, seminars, and special events, enhancing their product knowledge and sales capabilities.

Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with both internal company teams and our valued supplier partners. Cultivate and foster professional relationships with key accounts in your assigned territory.

Prioritize and pre-plan your daily account visits to maximize efficiency, optimize sales opportunities, and drive territory growth.

Effectively manage your existing territory while aggressively identifying and developing new business opportunities to expand our market reach.

Utilize your comprehensive wine knowledge, understanding of return on investment (ROI), and margin analysis to conduct impactful sales calls and close deals.

Maintain deep knowledge of our products and correctly present and position them in each account.

Propose selling solutions to each customer and win the sale using consultative selling skills.

Efficiently manage accounts receivable for your assigned territory, ensuring timely payments.

Comply with Alcohol Beverage Control credit and collection criteria, maintaining 30-day collection compliance.

Demonstrate the ability to adapt and respond quickly to changes in the market or business environment.

Maintain clear and consistent communication of pertinent information between management, accounts, and the marketplace.

Proactively develop your wine knowledge, business acumen, and sales skills to continuously increase your professional expertise and contribute to your ongoing success.

Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications Education/Experience:

Proven experience in wine or beverage sales experience Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

Knowledge of:

Winemaking and viticulture techniques

Ability:

Ability to work independently and attain goals Ability to use technology

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Sit for an extensive period of time Must be physically able to lift and move 45 lbs. cases of wine. Possible situations may include lifting from a car trunk, building or taking down wine displays Operate a motor vehicle

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Side shield safety glasses, safety vest, head/ear protection and proper footwear when in production facility
