Head Cheerleading Coach Cameron University, an NCAA DII member of the Lone Star Conference, is accepting applications for the position of Head Cheerleading Coach. This is a part-time, non-benefited, 6-month position from September through February. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Head Cheerleading Coach is responsible for developing and implementing a high-quality, non-competitive cheerleading program that aligns with NCAA and University rules, regulations, and policies. Responsibilities include coaching the cheer squad and mascots; scheduling and conducting team practices; attending and directing the team at all home basketball games; team fundraising; recruitment; scholarship allocation; and participating in special events such as pep rallies, booster functions, team camps, and tryouts. The coach will collaborate closely with the Head Dance Team Coach to coordinate game-day performances and enhance the game-day experience. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge and experience with cheer techniques and fostering positive game environments, with the ability to choreograph routines. Ability to create team chemistry and manage the daily challenges of college coaching. Ability to recruit student-athletes. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or higher.
