Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled data analyst with experience in data tools and software to lead data mining and information searches on public and private databases. The candidate will play a critical role in collecting, processing, and performing statistical analyses on large datasets to discover helpful information, suggest conclusions, and support decision-making. Experience in database management is essential for this position, as it will contribute to identifying and developing viable hydrogen reservoirs. Key Responsibilities: Database Management: Design, build, and maintain a structured database of wells showing evidence of natural hydrogen during drilling. Ensure data quality by verifying and validating imported datasets and managing updates from various sources. Collaborate with geoscientists to integrate well data into interpretation workflows supporting reservoir characterization. Data Analysis & Reporting: Perform data mining, statistical analysis, and data validation to extract actionable insights. Generate detailed reports that summarize trends, findings, and recommendations to support exploration strategies. Field Data Integration: Support geological sampling, wellsite logging, and seismic data correlation. Oversee geosteering and well correlation activities during exploration operations. Data Visualization & Communication: Create dashboards and visual reports using tools like Tableau or Power BI to facilitate data-driven decision-making. Present complex data in clear, accessible formats for technical and non-technical stakeholders. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with geophysicists, engineers, and other disciplines to build a comprehensive natural hydrogen database. Contribute to innovative exploration techniques through collaboration with R&D teams. Required Qualifications: Experience:
2+ years in database management and maintenance, focusing on petroleum, gas, or renewable energy projects. Strong background in analyzing data, generating reports, and identifying key trends. Proven expertise in managing large-scale databases with statistical analysis and interpretation. Technical Skills: Proficiency in data tools and software, spreadsheet applications, SQL, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. Understanding of upstream oil and gas processes and experience with platforms like Enverus. Knowledge of data mining, machine learning, and predictive modeling. Languages:
English required; proficiency in Spanish is a plus. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, or related field. Desired Skills:
