Walter USA, LLC is seeking an Engineering Manager for our Endmills manufacturing plant in Cleveland, Ohio. The role requires working within a team environment at the Cleveland Production Unit, in both an office setting and Production support. This individual reports to the Production Unit Manager.
Profile and Position Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our Endmills manufacturing unit with routings, manufacturing, maintenance and digital transformation strategies, manufacturing drawings, Capex, investments, training & support to the production team, and managing improvement initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities Maximize return on investment of company manufacturing assets and project portfolio. Reduce of cost of goods sold (COGS) through improvement projects and initiatives. Improve our preventive and corrective maintenance program. Ensure high availability of our assets, including IT systems critical to production. Use the appropriate project tracking for resources and schedule; effectively & efficiently handle project change requests. Budget, track and maintain financial information and status on our SAP and Epicor ERP. Oversee the integration, maintenance, and optimization of IT systems, including ERP (SAP, Epicor), manufacturing execution systems (MES), and IoT-enabled equipment for real-time monitoring and data collection. Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols to protect manufacturing IT systems and ensure compliance with industry standards. Leverage data analytics from production and IT systems to identify trends, predict maintenance needs, and drive process improvements. Coaching and mentoring direct reports to solve problems and make sustained improvements effectively at their own level. Defining adequate service and delivery to support the needs of production. Strive to increase efficiency of the team and delivery of engineering improvements. Securing that quality procedures are followed and improved in the production organization. Create stable process to deliver quality work to production. Work closely with production leaders, quality teams, and IT teams to solve quality problems and ensure seamless system interoperability. Test and implement new tooling and machinery. Manage system such as Epicor, SAP, Design software for Anca, Rollomatic and Walter cutting grinders machines to guarantee problem free production. Create and improve CNC programs for new and active products. Provide training to support and educate regarding usage and understanding of established manufacturing standards or systems. Actively engage in continuous improvement projects, including those focused on digital transformation and Industry 4.0 initiatives. Work with other Walter and Sandvik plants in identifying best practices that can be implemented in Cleveland Production Unit. Follow safety, health, and environmental procedures pertaining to company, legal, and ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards. Lead projects; create and maintain timeline; follow up the progress of the projects. Support local and global projects. Conduct training and presentations to the employees. Use Inventor, Rollomatic, Walter and Anca software to create drawings and its manufacturing processes. Support production together with maintenance to assure that the machines are functioning according to the desired level. Support local and global projects. Recommend changes in process instruction or process print deviations or changes. Collaborate with IT vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve system outages or performance issues. Participates in additional duties as required.
