We are seeking a business-savvy and intellectually curious Applications Engineer to lead the development, integration, and administration of enterprise applications, with a primary focus on Epicor ERP. This role is ideal for a technologist passionate about using technology to enhance business operations, drive smarter decision-making, and enable scalable growth. Youll operate at the intersection of IT and business, developing full-stack applications, managing ERP systems, and building intuitive, high-impact tools using C#, Blazor, SQL, and REST APIs. Leveraging technologies to build automation and AI/enabled tools. Essential Functions ERP Systems Administration & Optimization Administer and support the Epicor ERP system to ensure reliability, performance, and alignment with business needs. Design and implement ERP customizations (BAQs, BPMs, dashboards, reports, user roles). Manage system upgrades, patching, testing, and user training. Application Development & System Integration Develop and maintain custom applications using C#, Blazor, and DevExpress to extend ERP functionality. Create and document RESTful APIs for system integration and automation. Write and optimize SQL Server queries, procedures, and reports for efficient data access. Develop automation frameworks (e.g. MS Power Automate) to streamline operations Technology-Driven Business Enablement Collaborate with functional leaders to identify pain points and opportunities for technology-driven improvements. Translate complex business requirements into intuitive, data-driven tools and applications. Advocate for technology adoption to enhance decision-making, efficiency, and operational visibility. Work with developers and designers to conceptualize and build new software solutions. Analyze existing systems and procedures to identify areas for improvement. Define and document software requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications. Assist in scoping, scheduling, and implementing software development projects. User Experience & Continuous Improvement Design clean, modern, and user-friendly interfaces with a focus on usability. Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization. Stay current with emerging technologies and frameworks to introduce innovative solutions. Requirements Qualifications & Skills Technical Proficiency in C#, .NET, and Blazor (Server/WebAssembly). Advanced SQL development skills, including performance tuning and data modeling. Experience with RESTful API development and integration. Familiarity with DevExpress components and UI frameworks. Proven experience in Epicor ERP administration and customization. Hands-on experience with AI-enabled tools and platforms (e.g., Azure AI, OpenAI APIs,) to enhance application functionality, user experience, or operational efficiency Experience with low-code/no-code platforms and AI-assisted development environments. Effective communicator with the ability to bridge technical and business domains. Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and ownership. Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Experience with Epicor tools (e.g., Service Connect, SSRS, Epicor Functions). Background in manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environments. Familiarity with Agile or Lean development methodologies. Work Conditions Hours outside of a normal working day may be required to meet project deadlines or respond to system incidents. Sitting for extended periods of time. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices. Some travel may be required Ability to work onsite, in a non-remote setting.
