Headquartered in San Francisco and backed by top-tier investors, we’re already deployed in large logistics centers and delivering measurable operational gains. We’re building the foundational visibility layer for the physical world—starting with warehousing. We’re looking for a Lead Hardware Engineer to own and evolve the hardware systems that power our AI platform. You’ll take responsibility for everything from board design and sensor integration to enclosure prototyping and system-level testing. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, hands-on environments, wants to ship real-world systems quickly, and enjoys solving tough edge-compute challenges across electrical, mechanical, and embedded domains. You’ll be working with NVIDIA Jetson-based camera systems and leading integration of compute, sensors, and rugged enclosures that can stand up to warehouse environments. Responsibilities

Lead development of LuminX's custom camera and compute hardware stack. Design and test electrical systems and PCBs (e.g., using Altium Designer). Rapidly prototype mechanical enclosures and mounts using SolidWorks and 3D printing. Integrate cameras, sensors, and compute platforms (Jetson or equivalent). Collaborate closely with software and AI teams to ensure seamless hardware/software integration. Conduct system-level testing and validation in real-world environments. Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to transition from prototype to production. Qualifications

Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 3+ years of hands-on hardware development experience (preferably in a startup). Strong skills in electrical design (schematics, layout, validation). Familiarity with mechanical design and prototyping workflows. Experience with embedded systems (Jetson or similar). Proficiency in Python for hardware-level scripting and testing. Skilled with lab tools: bench power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and network analyzers. Ability to iterate quickly and deliver robust, field-tested hardware. Bonus

Experience with camera firmware, sensor integration, USB/MIPI interfaces. Familiarity with SAE standards or ruggedized hardware design. Experience managing hardware through the full product lifecycle. Hands-on experience with robotic systems (e.g., perception, actuation, embedded control). Experience with fast-turn mechanical prototyping and 3D printing. Why Join Us

High-ownership role – Lead all hardware efforts from the ground up. Real-world impact – Build systems that materially improve global supply chain operations. Top-tier backing – Join a well-funded startup with institutional support. Competitive compensation – Salary, meaningful equity, and benefits.
