Overview We are seeking a licensed attorney to work in our Legal and Real Estate Department. High ethical and competence standards are required. A minimum of three (3) years of on-the-job experience should include legal research and analysis, drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, with a preference to those who negotiated leases and lease amendments and other commercial real estate agreements. The position will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating legal contracts (including commercial leases, lease amendments, lease renewals, and SNDAs), handling administrative matters, overseeing outside counsel, maintaining legal and real estate files, possible site selection, and negotiating terms for new and existing locations. The company operates in more than 24 states, so travel will be required.

State Bar admission in at least one state where the company does business. Minimum three (3) years of at least an associate-level attorney or in-house corporate experience. Exceptional skills in negotiation and interpersonal communication. Meticulous, detail-oriented approach to work matters. Proven performance with factual and legal research and analysis. Ability to communicate persuasively—in writing, speaking, and via audio-visual technologies. Draft and review contracts, vendor agreements, and a wide variety of legal correspondence. Advise executives on the potential legal ramifications of proposed organizational policies and procedures. Protect the company’s rights in its interactions and advice regarding external parties. Oversee outside counsel. Litigation support. Draft and review leases, lease amendments, responses to landlords’ and other real estate agreements and correspondence. Understand the company’s real estate strategy and implement the same. Negotiate leases and terms for new and existing store locations. Benefits
