What The Role Entails
The Assistant Project Manager will provide essential support to the development team, responsible for ground-up development and construction of CloudHQ's Data Center products. The Assistant Project Manager will focus on initial stages of a project from land acquisition to product delivery, with an emphasis on speed to market of all future inventory, providing precise product information, quick project delivery, and cost effectiveness. This role will be the primary liaison within CHQ's internal project teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for professionally representing CloudHQ's development department across multiple functions within the organization as well as outside of the company.
What You Will Get to Do
Assisting in the planning stages of all new data center projects
Assist with project budgeting and cash flow planning
Create and maintain the project schedule
Support the team in change management processes
Responsible for contracting consulting teams from proposal to execution
Management of certain design aspects with design team
Partner with vendors and contractors to build a culture of collaborate
BIM coordination and communication with construction and design teams
Review of mechanical, electrical, architectural, structural, civil, or other design components
Quality control of design components or actual construction work product
Assist CloudHQ BIM team with interior data center layouts and/or office/interior designs
Monitor and improve CloudHQ's design standards and branding
Provide schedule updates in comparison with master construction schedule
Controlling company and project documentation
Following and improving document control procedures
Document control of miscellaneous contractual documents
Organization and distribution of design documents, contracts, technical information
Producing document progress reports for senior managers
Provide support for development, construction, and operations team
Champion CHQ initiatives and brand
Develop creative solutions and innovations to help streamline processes
Coordinate and manage health and safety
Other ad hoc duties as needed by the team and supervisor
Adhere to company safety standards and help promote a safe working environment for office and field employees, subcontractors, and clients
Adhere to and promote the core values of CloudHQ
Requirements
What You Bring to The Role
A Bachelor's degree in Real Estate Development, Finance, Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering
Ability to work in the US now and in the future without visa sponsorship
Responsible attitude with strong work ethic; leading by example in attendance, excellent communication skills and technical work product
Enjoys working in a small team on large complex projects
Ability to Prioritize
Highly organized and detail oriented
Proficiency with MS Office
Knowledge of document management systems
Familiar with environmental health and safety measures (EH&S)
Familiar with environmental, social and governance policies (ESG)
Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and effectively
Ability to work independently applying individual expertise
Self-starter with independent problem-solving skills
Innovative and forward thinking; not accepting the "status quo"
Ability to travel to data center sites, client meetings, trainings or conferences as requested and required both domestically and internationally
Ability to work in the US now and in the future without visa sponsorship
Ability to successfully submit and pass background check
