And thats where you come in. Position: Hybrid in Office Tuesday-Thursday What you will be doing GIS Data Management:

Assist in collecting, organizing, and maintaining spatial data for GIS applications, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Perform data entry, quality control, and updates to GIS databases using software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and IQGeo. Import, clean, and validate geographic and attribute data from various sources, including field data and third-party providers.

Map Creation & Visualization:

Create and maintain high-quality maps, charts, and visualizations to support departments like engineering, operations, and project management. Utilize GIS software to generate thematic maps, perform spatial analysis, and present data clearly. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand mapping needs and provide tailored solutions.

Spatial Analysis:

Perform basic spatial analyses such as buffer creation, network analysis, and spatial queries. Support identification of spatial patterns and trends using GIS tools. Conduct geocoding and mapping to aid project planning and operations.

GIS Support & Troubleshooting:

Provide daily GIS technical support to internal users, troubleshooting software and data issues. Assist in training users on GIS tools and best practices. Contribute to documentation of GIS procedures.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

Analyze spatial and non-spatial data to generate organizational reports. Present findings via tables, graphs, maps, and reports. Work with the team to analyze trends and anomalies in GIS data.

Job Environment The Systems (GIS) Analyst I is an entry-level role supporting GIS development, maintenance, and analysis to aid decision-making. It involves working with spatial data, creating maps, and supporting GIS solutions, collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure effective GIS use across business processes. Expect a dynamic environment where priorities may shift. ** Duties may be adjusted as needed by management. What you will need Basic proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar. Familiarity with spatial data formats, databases, and collection methods. Basic understanding of cartography principles and map creation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with complex datasets. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks. 0-2 years of GIS or related experience. Education: Related field experience, technical school, or college in GIS or computer science.
