Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Property Operations with a background in property management and real estate compliance to lead operational strategy and legal oversight in Hackensack, NJ. This role supports leasing operations, drives process improvements, manages legal and compliance matters, and enhances overall portfolio performance.

TBD (Competitive based on experience) Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage property operations to improve efficiency and reduce legal risk. Draft and oversee lease agreements, amendments, and related legal documents. Support and defend municipal code litigation and legal disputes. Ensure legal and regulatory compliance across property portfolio. Review lease transactions, lending requirements, title affidavits, and other legal filings. Collaborate across departments to set operational targets and lead improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate documentation and track operational KPIs. Supervise administrative functions including property maintenance inventory. Provide regular updates to executive leadership on operational and legal matters. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Operations Management, or related field (preferred). Prior experience in property management or real estate required. Strong knowledge of real estate law & compliance, including litigation, lease/purchase/sale transactions. Familiarity with real estate documentation, contracts, and compliance. Experience with budgeting, financial reports, and project management. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Notary Public status is a plus.
