Lead US value, access, and reimbursement strategy for enzyme therapies, ensuring optimal patient access and commercial success.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align payer strategies and shape the external market access environment.
Develop and execute market access strategies for product launches and ongoing commercialization efforts.
Provide subject matter expertise on US healthcare systems, reimbursement mechanisms, and payer landscapes.
Work closely with sales, marketing, medical affairs, and legal teams to ensure strategic alignment.
Monitor policy, reimbursement, and pricing landscapes to assess implications for business strategies.
Analyze access and utilization data to inform strategy and measure performance outcomes.
Travel approximately 25% for sales meetings and congresses; hybrid work arrangement in San Rafael, CA.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Develop and execute payer engagement strategies for commercial payers, PBMs, Medicare, and Medicaid.
Partner with pricing, HEOR, government affairs, and field access teams to create compelling value propositions.
Oversee the development of access-related tools and resources, including AMCP dossiers and value decks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on strategy and execution.
Support contracting strategy development and assist with negotiations as required.
Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and payer advisors effectively.
Monitor and assess policy, reimbursement, and pricing landscape changes for strategic implications.
Actively serve as the US market access SME for enzyme therapies within the commercial organization.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or economics; MBA or MPH preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in US market access, managed markets, or payer strategy.
Deep understanding of US healthcare systems, reimbursement mechanisms, and payer landscapes.
Experience with Medicare Part B/D, Medicaid, and commercial payers preferred.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in dynamic environments.
Strong knowledge of health policy, health systems, and innovative reimbursement models.
US launch experience in specialty therapeutics, such as oncology or rare diseases, is advantageous.
Excellent communication, collaboration, influence, strategic, and analytical skills required.
