PayPal . The Strategic Sourcing Analyst is accountable for developing, managing and executing the sourcing strategy for Marketing, Professional Services, and Technology categories of spend. This individual will work closely with business units to manage sourcing strategies that drive significant value and impact for the BU operations and profitability. They will drive Sourcing projects (RFPs, RFIs, direct negotiations, etc.) building both short/medium and long-term opportunities to drive sourcing excellence. The lead will possess excellent sourcing, stakeholder management and team building experience & skills.
Key Responsibilities
Work with the BUs and leadership to understand strategic direction, demand requirements and business objectives and priorities.
Drive thought leadership in the category providing market and industry intelligence, trends, innovation and best practices.
Drive analysis of category spend to identify opportunities to reduce total category spend utilizing all savings levers. Develop business cases to substantiate opportunities and prioritization.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies and plans.
Develop supplier negotiation strategies that reflect and maximize PayPal’s buying power, focus on service quality/performance, and minimize risk exposure.
Assist BUs manage in-category strategic supplier relationships.
Interact with all levels of management, including senior management, and stakeholders including Finance, Legal, Accounting, and suppliers to ensure strategic direction, operational and quality goals are achieved.
Ability to build, maintain, and grow relationships with internal business partners while earning their trust.
Qualifications
Bachelor´s Degree needed; degree in in Business, Finance, or Supply Chain preferred
2-5 years of experience with Sourcing/Procurement
Analytical ability to quickly gather facts, perform root cause analysis and draw conclusions
Conceptual thinking skills with adeptness to lead others through ambiguous and/or complex issues
Experience managing change across multiple stakeholder groups
Negotiation skills as well as contract review / analysis experience
Ability to build consensus and act as an independent arbiter
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working in a global organization is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Knowledge of Procure-to-Pay tool(s), Ariba is a plus
Knowledge and prior usage of Business Intelligence tools

Actual Compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to work location, and relevant skills and experience. The total compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation, as applicable), equity, and medical, dental, vision, and other benefits.
