part-time Accountant
to manage key financial operations and ensure compliance with trust accounting regulations. Position Overview: The
Part-Time Accountant
will handle core accounting functions for the firm, including billing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and trust account reconciliation. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who values flexibility while working in a professional environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage daily financial transactions including billing, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with quarterly/annual statements.
Reconcile client trust accounts in compliance with Florida Bar regulations.
Perform bank reconciliations and track cash flow.
Assist with tax compliance and year-end audit preparation.
Provide accurate financial insights to firm leadership as needed.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required).
3+ years of accounting experience (law firm or professional services strongly preferred).
Knowledge of legal billing practices and trust accounting compliance.
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Clio, or similar).
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
