Arnot Health is seeking an experienced and strategic
Financial Controller
to lead and manage the financial operations of our organization. Reporting directly to the AVP of Finance, the Controller is responsible for oversight of general accounting, financial and statistical reporting, budgeting, cash flow, cost reporting, and internal controls. This role plays a critical part in ensuring fiscal integrity, regulatory compliance, and providing accurate financial information to support key organizational decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision : Manage and support the general accounting staff, including recruitment, development, and performance oversight. Financial Reporting : Oversee preparation of internal/external financial reports, audits, 990 filings, and regulatory submissions. Budget & Planning : Assist in developing and maintaining operating and capital budgets, financial forecasts, and strategic modeling. Cash & Treasury Management : Collaborate with treasury on daily and long-term cash flow planning and execution. General Ledger Oversight : Ensure proper classification, reconciliation, and accurate closeout of financial records. Internal Controls : Develop, implement, and monitor internal control procedures and financial policies. Analysis & Support : Provide detailed variance reporting and support departmental financial performance reviews. Systems Optimization
: Support financial system upgrades and drive process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Compliance & Ethics : Uphold ethical standards and ensure compliance with all regulatory, organizational, and confidentiality requirements. Qualifications
Education:
Required: Associate's Degree in Accounting Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting or CPA designation Experience:
Required:
Associate's Degree with 10+ years of accounting experience, OR Bachelor's/Master's Degree with 5-9 years of accounting experience 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience 2-3 years of healthcare-related or public accounting experience auditing healthcare facilities
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, internal controls, and financial analysis Proficient in financial systems, spreadsheets, and data processing Clear and concise communication skills across all levels of an organization Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities Commitment to ethics, accuracy, and professional excellence Why Arnot Health?
