Job Description The ideal candidate for this position should have: BSN (Bachelors of Science in Nursing) required. Masters degree with management coursework preferred. Three years recent experience in an acute care facility with one year recent experience in a clinical specialty required. RN license Under the general administrative direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager is accountable for the delivery of patient care services that support the organization's strategic plan and achieve clinical and service quality objectives. This role oversees a clinical unit or care delivery site, ensuring quality of clinical services, staff competency, and performance, and designing systems to support multidisciplinary team function and continuity of services in coordination with the Clinical Nurse Manager. The Assistant Nurse Manager also participates in organizational project teams and work groups at the organizational and unit level. Evening Shift Hours: 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM Qualifications: Education and Experience: Current RN license in Maryland or eligibility due to Compact state agreements outlined by the Maryland Board of Nursing. BSN required; Masters degree with management coursework preferred. Incumbents are expected to enroll in an accredited graduate program within one year of employment and complete it within five years.
