Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations across various age groups, utilizing standardized tools and observational strategies to determine individual needs. Craft customized treatment plans addressing immediate objectives and long-term speech, cognitive, or swallowing challenges. Engage in one-on-one therapy that targets communication, fluency, language, voice, and dysphagia. Partner with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, physicians, and family members to create cohesive and tailored care experiences. Provide guidance to patients and their families, encouraging progress beyond the therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring an unbroken thread of care through all stages of recovery. Maintain meticulous documentation that meets state, federal, and organizational compliance standards. Stay informed about the latest advances in speech-language pathology through continued education and collaborative learning. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is necessary if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a
Speech Language Pathologist
in California. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire. Skills
