Key responsibilities for the CFO include overseeing all financial operations, developing and implementing financial strategies that align with organizational goals, ensuring compliance with federal grants and regulatory standards, and leading the preparation and execution of audits. The CFO will also be instrumental in managing grant funding processes, providing expert guidance on compliance programs, and collaborating with senior leadership to drive strategic planning and decision-making.
This role demands a minimum of 15 years' of experience in financial management, with a focus on non-profit organizations, and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. The successful candidate will be a strong leader with a collaborative mindset, capable of mentoring the finance team and fostering a culture of growth and high performance. Proficiency in accounting software systems, advanced financial processes, and a strong knowledge of auditing practices and compliance management are essential.
