Job Description Complete Professional Services (CPS) is seeking a Virtualization Senior Systems Engineer. In this role, you will provide engineering support for the design and deployment of VMware infrastructure supporting the NETCOM G35. Your responsibilities include analyzing and troubleshooting VMware Server deployment and virtualization issues, identifying potential technologies and approaches to meet current and future enterprise needs, evaluating their applicability, and making recommendations to the Government. You will also assist in defining standards for virtualization technologies and best practices for their use. Highlights of Responsibilities: Provide Army Enterprise virtualization capabilities to install, configure, and manage a highly available and scalable virtual infrastructure. Support planning, installation, configuration, and upgrades for vCenter Server and VMware ESXi. Plan and configure vSphere networking and storage solutions. Develop plans for deploying and managing virtual machines and vApps. Establish and maintain service levels, perform troubleshooting, monitor vSphere implementations, and manage vCenter server alarms. Prepare ETPs for configuring and managing virtual networks, storage, and virtual machine management. Contribute to data protection, access control, authentication, resource management, monitoring, high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability of virtualized infrastructure. Participate in enterprise testing for new technology integration and develop related documentation. Research and analyze DoD and DA policies to mitigate potential integration issues. Develop and maintain system baseline documentation and control system changes throughout the system lifecycle. Draft, coordinate, and finalize documentation to ensure virtualization integration within the enterprise. Provide procedures, such as implementation guides, to ensure solutions and schedules meet operational and technical standards within specified timelines. Qualifications Requirements: Experience in deploying and managing enterprise virtualization environments. Support for vCenter Server and VMware ESXi, including planning and configuration of vSphere networking and storage. Deployment and administration of virtual machines and vApps, troubleshooting, and monitoring. Preparation of ETPs and input on data protection, access, and resource management. Participation in enterprise testing and documentation development. Research and analysis of DoD and DA policies related to virtualization. Development and maintenance of system baseline documentation and configuration management. Drafting and finalizing technical documentation and procedures. Additional Information Preferred Education and Experience: Experience with vCloud, managed hosting, storage and network virtualization, security domain design, and complex network configurations. Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as Virtual platform, Virtual OS, Virtual application, VMware, Hypervisor, and Virtual storage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
