We are seeking a General Surgeon for a 9-day locum tenens weekend call assignment in North Carolina, starting Oct 24, 2025. Job Details Location: North Carolina Facility Type: Hospital Start Date: Oct 24, 2025 LOA: 9 days Provider Type Needed: General Surgeon Schedule: Oct 24, 2025, 7am Oct 27, 2025, 7am Nov 7, 2025, 7am Nov 10, 2025, 7am Nov 28, 2025, 7am Dec 1, 2025, 7am Responsibilities and Duties Provide 24-hour weekend call coverage for a 49-bed hospital Perform and manage general surgical cases (approximately 65 cases per month) Cover 3 operating rooms, a 9-bed emergency department, and a 4-bed fast track unit Perform ICU and critical care procedures as required Respond to emergent and inpatient surgical needs Utilize Epic EMR for clinical documentation and patient management Additional Information Must be board certified in General Surgery Active North Carolina medical license required Recent experience with general surgery cases preferred Orientation required the day before first shift Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
