Job Details:
• Coverage needed for specific Thursday 7am to Monday 7am shifts (October 9-13, October 30-November 3, November 20-24, November 27-December 1, December 18-22, December 25-29) • Provide adult and pediatric general surgery services with patient volume varying per shift • Perform laparoscopic procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and Nissen fundoplication • Conduct head/neck surgery including thyroid procedures • Provide chest wall/pleural procedures and breast surgery • Perform liver surgery and vascular procedures including aneurysm repairs (thoracic and abdominal) • Conduct arterial bypass and peripheral vascular surgeries • Place vascular access devices and AV shunts • Perform GI endoscopy including upper and lower (sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy) • Handle trauma cases and provide plastic surgery services • Perform minor orthopedics and hand surgery • Manage ventilation, chest tube insertion, central line insertion, and PA catheter placement • Handle pediatric surgical procedures including artesias (esophageal, intestinal, biliary), abdominal wall defects, diaphragmatic hernia, imperforate anus, and PDA ligation • Must possess laser certification • Credentialing timeframe approximately 60 days
