Quantitative Developer - Options - Market Making
Overview
Location: Chicago, IL. A market-leading Prop firm is seeking a Quantitative Developer to join the globally experienced Options Market Making Trading Desk. The team integrates innovative technology and trading strategies, using a sophisticated research platform and development environment to realise consistent trading alphas. The candidate should be highly talented and motivated to collaborate with a team that is competitive in global financial markets.
Responsibilities
- Assist a professional team in developing, optimizing and evolving the firm's research pipeline and strategy development.
- Identify prospects for further optimization and performance enhancements through research to improve trading results.
- Build greenfield projects and write software code for new strategies.
- Build components and infrastructure to maintain trading strategies and conduct testing and debugging as part of the development process.
- Work with traders and developers to provide realistic project timelines, estimates and ensure team accountability.
- Provide high-level technical and investment analytics support to the trading desk.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and trends to maintain the firm’s competitive edge.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree with more than 5 years of experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or a related field.
- Experience coding in C++ and Python.
- Experience working with Options is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and software architecture skills with a proven ability to optimize and profile strategies.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
