Responsibilities
- Manage all on-site construction activities for a $450M project, including a 7-star hotel and luxury high-rise residences, from groundbreaking to completion.
- Oversee field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure high-quality craftsmanship, particularly for bespoke finishes and intricate designs.
- Develop and enforce detailed project schedules, coordinating trades to meet critical milestones and avoid delays.
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA safety regulations, Miami-Dade County building codes, and coastal environmental standards (e.g., hurricane preparedness).
- Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to architectural and engineering plans.
- Collaborate with project executives, architects, engineers, and clients to resolve issues, such as design conflicts or material shortages, in real time.
- Utilize construction management software for scheduling, documentation, and communication (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid).
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, inspectors, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and satisfaction.
- Mentor and train assistant superintendents and field staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.
- Mitigate risks unique to Miami, including weather-related delays, permitting challenges, and labor shortages.
Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 7 years as a General Superintendent or Lead Superintendent for a large general contractor.
- Experience managing at least 3 high-value projects (hospitality or luxury residential, $100M+ each), including at least one high-rise hotel or residence (20+ floors).
- Proven expertise in overseeing complex, multimillion-dollar projects with bespoke finishes and high-end specifications.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment for 7-star hotels and luxury residences.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project) and scheduling tools.
- In-depth understanding of Miami-Dade County building codes, permitting processes, and coastal construction regulations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to field management.
- OSHA 30 certification required; additional certifications (e.g., CCM, LEED AP, crane operation) preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field a plus.
- Established relationships with South Florida subcontractors and suppliers preferred.

- Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and certifications (e.g., LEED, WELL Building Standard).
