Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into solution architecture deliverables and communicate designs to the product team.
- Lead analysis and selection of technologies and services from third-party vendors; provide technical leadership and governance prior to project execution.
- Present solution architecture designs to Enterprise Architects and, when necessary, the architecture forum.
- Provide technical leadership and governance to ensure the proposed architecture is implemented as designed.
- Evaluate project outcomes against expected benefits and recommend improvements and backlog priorities.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the broader team.
- Ensure security considerations are embedded in the architecture (secure by design, compliant by design) and advise program & project teams to embed security, privacy, and regulatory needs into the solution design and execution.
Work Arrangement: Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Core locations: Salisbury, NC; Quincy, MA; Carlisle, PA; Scarborough, ME; Mauldin, SC.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, CIS or related (or equivalent related work experience)
- 10+ years of equivalent experience in relevant job or field of technology.
- 8+ years in an advanced role or technical capacity, leading teams directly or indirectly
- 8+ years experience directly responsible for guiding, training, or onboarding team members in relevant technologies, capabilities or skills.
- 8+ years of practical experience in IT Architecture (i.e., solution architecture) plus various software designs and development languages
- Working knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, SOA, APIs, microservices, and integration topics like event-driven architecture
- 10+ years of design, implementation, and/or support of complex application architectures
- Practical experience in CI/CD practices and robust build/test automation, with a preference for cross-platform stacks and containerization (Git, Maven, Jenkins, Crucible, Sonar, Docker, AKS, etc.)
- Practical experience in Agile software development lifecycle and aligning technology roadmap with feature roadmap.
- Experience in budget planning and financial management for products and applications
- Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration and presentation skills
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Data Security First mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters Degree in relevant field of study; additional trainings or certifications in relevant field
- 8 years of experience in Agile teams and Product/Platform based operating model
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate, Cloud Solution Architect)
- Experience in retail or grocery preferred
- Practical experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Pipeline
- Experience interacting with Infrastructure, network, and security aspects of product development
- Experience in delivering and supporting IT Supply Chain applications, specifically in Distribution & Transportation
Salary Range: ME/NC/PA/SC: $120,960 - $181,440; IL/MA/MD: $139,120 - $208,680
