Position Overview
Seeking a highly driven and experienced Senior Project Engineer to support project execution from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction, thrive in a fast-paced GC environment, and demonstrate the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with daily project operations
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and document control processes
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure alignment and progress
- Track schedules, budgets, procurement, and progress reporting
- Participate in meetings, inspections, and quality assurance processes
- Support preconstruction activities including estimating and bid coordination
- Mentor and guide junior engineers as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in commercial construction at the GC level
- Proficiency in construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and/or P6
- Solid understanding of construction documents, building systems, and sequencing
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
Preferred Project Experience
- Ground-up commercial buildings (offices, retail, hospitality, etc.)
- Tenant improvements and adaptive reuse
- LEED-certified or sustainable construction projects
