Position Summary


As IT Architect, you will function as a core resource for projects, streamlining operations and providing level 3 expertise for complex IT issues within the organization. Evaluating the business needs of the organization and leveraging IT solutions to meet those needs. Development and management responsibilities will span both on-premises and cloud services. These will include, but are not limited to user lifecycle from onboarding to termination, Office 365 and Azure services, Active Directory, file services and public DNS services.


Responsibilities



  • Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors.

  • Demonstrate superb technical competency.

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with business stakeholders, IT technical leaders, partners and vendors.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, developing tools, scripts, policies, standards or guidelines to deliver these improvements as needed.

  • Ensure solutions reduce cost of service wherever possible, do not duplicate existing functionality or diverge from business and IT strategies with the goal of delivering high-quality solutions and high reuse of solutions.

  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.

  • Engage in the planning of infrastructure and services, providing insight into the future of the technology footprint within the hospital.

  • Manage and monitor IT systems with a focus on backend services and infrastructure.

  • Build and migrate software and services across the organization and affiliates.

  • Work in conjunction with IT Security teams to effectively manage user identity and lifecycle.

  • Administration of Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online services and external DNS.

  • Collaborate with partners to tackle interorganizational issues and develop standards that will benefit White Plains Hospital and affiliates.

  • Work with IT staff to provide level 3 support for users with complex issues.

  • Create and maintain documentation for automations, managed services, access and solution testing.

  • Evaluate new technologies and create proposals for their adoption based on business goals, investments, benefits and risks.

  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.


Education & Experience



  • Bachelor’s degree in computers, electronics, biomedical technology, or military equivalent.

  • Previous experience in a healthcare environment preferred.

  • Valid driver’s license for after-hours responsibilities.

  • 5 Plus years related experience.

  • Knowledge of IT services and infrastructure such as Office 365, Azure, DNS, SMTP, Active Directory, Windows Server, Microsoft Identity Management.

  • Knowledge of scripting languages, PowerShell and Python preferred.

Physical/Mental Demands/Requirements & Work Environment



  • May be exposed to chemicals necessary to perform the required tasks. Any hazardous chemicals the employee may be exposed to are listed in the hospital’s SDS (Safety Data Sheet) database and may be accessed through the hospital’s Intranet site (Employee Tools/SDS Access). A copy of the SDS database can also be found at the hospital switchboard, saved on a disc.

  • Must have good coordination, stamina, the ability to lift, push, pull, bend, etc. for extended periods of time.

Salary Range: $127,446.73-$191,159.28
