Overview
Vantage Credit Union is seeking an experienced and strategic financial executive to serve as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). As a key member of the Executive Management Team and reporting directly to the President and CEO, the CFO will play a critical leadership role in helping us fulfill our vision: to be the members’ trusted financial partner. The CFO will be responsible for providing direction and oversight of all financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, audits, investments, asset and liability management, and capital planning. This individual will lead the development and execution of financial strategies that support the credit union’s long-term goals, ensure sound fiscal management, and promote organizational sustainability. Additionally, the CFO will collaborate closely with business unit leaders to optimize resource use, enhance performance, and drive operational efficiencies. This role requires strong communication with the Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee, and other stakeholders to provide financial insights, strategic recommendations, and regulatory updates. The ideal candidate will bring 10 plus years of progressive experience in financial leadership, preferably within the credit union or financial services industry, along with an advanced degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction and oversight of all financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, audits, investments, asset and liability management, and capital planning.
- Lead the development and execution of financial strategies that support the credit union’s long-term goals, ensure sound fiscal management, and promote organizational sustainability.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to optimize resource use, enhance performance, and drive operational efficiencies.
- Communicate with the Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee, and other stakeholders to provide financial insights, strategic recommendations, and regulatory updates.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, integrity, and accountability in all financial decisions and risk management.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in financial leadership, preferably within the credit union or financial services industry.
- Advanced degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
