American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with strong NICU and PICU experience for a 16-week night shift assignment requiring RRT or CRT credentials and an active Ohio respiratory care license.Job Details•Work in NICU and PICU units with potential coverage of the Emergency Department,•Provide care to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients,•Utilizes Servo U, jet, and oscillatory ventilators as well as conventional ventilators,•Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7pm to 7am,•Requires work every other weekend and every other holiday,•16-week contract duration,•No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius,Job Requirements•Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required,•Active license to practice Respiratory Care in the State of Ohio required if applicable,•Minimum 2 years of recent NICU/PICU experience required,•BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required,•Completion of an approved Respiratory Therapy program,•Vocational/Technical degree in Respiratory Therapy required,•Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed,•Competency in emergency airway management, extubation, tracheotomies, and ventilator operation preferred,Additional Information•Provide both invasive and non-invasive respiratory care under physician supervision,•Evaluate cardiopulmonary function, administer treatments, and assess effectiveness for patients with respiratory deficiencies,•Pass/fail EKG testing required on first day with two attempts allowed; study guides provided,•Must have thorough understanding of respiratory drugs and related procedures,•Team-oriented work environment seeking flexible, independent practitioners,•Every other holiday coverage is required,),•hash,:• ,
