Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring at least two years of recent experience and strong Epic EMR skills.Job Details•Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit with 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms,•Patient population includes labor, preterm labor, low risk antepartum, and OB-GYN surgical cases,•Staffing ratio ranges from 1:1 to 1:3,•Role includes circulating, scrub, post-op, pre-op, and couplet care responsibilities,•Expected to attend all deliveries, including high risk deliveries, and transition nursery care,•Special procedures performed include administration of blood products, cardioversion, cooling and warming therapies, epidural and PCA pump management, wound vac use, and medication infusions including heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate,•Night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30,•Floating to Post-Partum or NICU based on skill set is required,Job Requirements•Active RN license (WA or compact) required at time of consideration,•Minimum of 2 years recent labor and delivery experience,•Proficiency with Epic EMR is required,•Must provide two supervisory references covering one year of the last three years in a comparable setting,•Role does not accept first-time travelers,•Former permanent staff must be separated for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler,•Applicants residing within 50 miles may have local opportunities; proof of permanent address required,•Current certifications required (specific certifications not listed, but commonly include BLS and NRP for this specialty),Additional Information•Responsibility includes circulating and scrubbing for a variety of labor and OB-GYN cases, as well as providing post and pre-op care,•Expected to float between all units and facilities within the state as needed,•Reliable transportation is required due to floating and multi-site expectations,•Completion of onboarding modules (average 16 hours) prior to start is required,•Holiday coverage and minimal requested time off only; additional RTO may impact consideration,•Scrub requirements not specified; candidates should inquire prior to assignment,•No block scheduling or special shift requests will be accommodated,),•hash,:• ,
