American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position on a 28-bed unit with telemetry capability and night shift hours.Job Details•Work on the 11 West Medical/Surgical unit serving adult patients in a hospital setting,•28-bed unit with both medical and surgical adult patient population,•Telemetry monitoring available for patients as needed,•RN to patient ratio is 1:5-6,•Support staff includes Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), a unit coordinator, virtual sitters, and monitor techs,•Night shift from 18:30 to 07:00,Job Requirements•Active RN license and Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start,•Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA),•Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg experience required,•US Social Security Number and US home address required,•Submission of driver's license, license verification, and two professional references required,Additional Information•Responsibilities include providing direct nursing care, implementing care plans, monitoring patient progress, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and facilitating discharge planning,•Must exercise sound judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment,•Utilizes standard precautions and required personal protective equipment,•Travelers are eligible for one position within the health system at a time and local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate per radius rule,•First-time travelers are accepted,•COVID-19 vaccination is not required,),•hash,:• ,
