American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient position with acute care rotation, requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active or pending AK PT license.Job Details•Primary outpatient physical therapy role with acute care coverage on Saturdays,•Work schedule is Tuesday to Friday with 9-hour day shifts starting at 9 am, and a 4-hour shift on Saturday in acute care,•Intermittent on-call duties are required, typically one 4-hour weekend shift,•Float within scope may occur rarely to acute care, skilled nursing facility (SNF), or ICU as needed,•Patient population includes general orthopedic cases such as RTC impingement, hip impingement, osteoarthritis, and neuro conditions including vestibular dysfunction and balance/gait impairments,•PT interventions include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, modalities, and use of standard rehab equipment, machine and free weights, and pneumatic compression devices,•Work setting in a critical access, Level IV Trauma Center with 54 staffed beds,•Scrubs are provided by the facility,Job Requirements•Minimum 1 year of recent physical therapy experience required,•Active AK PT license or proof of application required for consideration; license required if applicable,•Current BLS certification required,•Experience working with general orthopedic and neurologic patient populations preferred,•Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19; booster is not required,•First-time travelers will be considered, but travel experience is preferred,•Locals within 60 miles are not accepted,Additional Information•Duties include direct patient care, implementing PT interventions, and participating in care for both outpatient and acute care patients,•Occasional floating to other units may occur based on facility needs,•On-boarding and compliance process may take 4 weeks or longer depending on licensing status,•Return travelers must have a separation of at least 1 year from previous assignments within the health system,•Holiday coverage may be required depending on the unit,•Parking is free for travelers,),•hash,:• ,
