Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position providing comprehensive care for obstetric and newborn patients, requiring 2+ years of specialty experience and multiple certifications.Job Details•Work in Labor & Delivery, Nursery, and OB/GYN units within a hospital setting,•Day shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM,•Monthly department volume of approximately 40 deliveries,•Responsibilities include L&D care, fetal monitoring, OB triage, emergency obstetrics, cesarean and postpartum care, and neonatal resuscitation,•Cross-coverage may occur in other hospital units such as ED, Med-Surg, CCU, Lab, and Outpatient Surgery,Job Requirements•Active RN license required,•At least 2 years of recent L&D, Nursery, and OB experience required,•Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring required,•Valid Driver's License required,•Applicants must not have gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past year,•Applicants must not have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the last 2 years,•US Social Security Number required,•No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of assignment,•RTO (time off) requests must be less than 1 week,•Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius (no local travelers),Additional Information•Provide antepartum care including management of multiple gestations, diabetes, fetal demise, and triage of scheduled and unscheduled patients,•Perform intrapartum care such as fetal monitoring, labor management, safe medication administration, and support for vaginal delivery,•Assist with cesarean sections and PACU recovery, as well as postpartum care and blood administration,•Deliver neonatal care including resuscitation, neonatal IV and CPAP, circumcision assistance, and breastfeeding support,•Respond to obstetric emergencies such as postpartum hemorrhage, severe hypertension, prolapsed cord, and shoulder dystocia,•Must have strong communication and teaching skills, be able to multi-task, demonstrate critical thinking, and respond confidently in emergencies,•Proficiency in Spanish or French is preferred but not required,•No interviews required; offers are made automatically,),•hash,:• ,
