First Shift Metals Warehouse Associates
Automation Personnel Services is seeking skilled First Shift Metals Warehouse Associates for a metal distribution center located in Alpharetta, GA. With over a century in business, this company is recognized as a leader in the metals industry. This position involves a variety of tasks including handling materials, tracking inventory, operating forklifts and overhead cranes, and completing other assigned responsibilities.
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours: Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Overtime may be mandatory.
First Shift Metals Warehouse Associates Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload materials utilizing overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Receive, label, and record incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Move and position materials into equipment for processing.
- Support shipping operations and log received goods into digital systems.
- Perform additional duties as directed by supervisors
First Shift Metals Warehouse Associates Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of related work experience in the steel or metals industry.
- Prior forklift and overhead crane experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math and reading tasks.
- Basic computer knowledge for inventory and order entry.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to workplace safety.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly during the shift; lifting assessment required.
- Drug screening and background check is required.
